Will.i.am remixes Axwell ^ Ingrosso’s ‘I Love You,’ except no he didn’t

The remix EP for Axwell ^ Ingrosso‘s recent single “I Love You,” featuring hip-hop vocals from Kid Ink, has arrived and it’s full of hot takes on the breakout track. The most surprising inclusion comes from former Black Eyed Pea, will.i.am. As it turns out, the pop star’s attribution on the album is due to a Spotify error that has mistakenly tagged the wrong artist. The “William” in question is actually Australian producer William Crocombe whose moniker William. is two craftily placed punctuation marks away from super stardom. While the original is a slow and deep house track, the Aussie producer’s lofty remix has a broken beat, warm synths, and panning percussion. The track taps into the layered textures worn best by producers like Mura Masa and features a nuanced mix and impeccable production. The remix EP also features a future bass-y cut from  Machinedrum and a big room mashup from David Puentez, but the young producers take is a textured and interesting narrative that deserves a fair listen.Update: This article has been updated to reflect Spotify’s error.Read more:Axwell / Ingrosso road test new ID at Ultra to an ecstatic crowdAxwell ^ Ingrosso switch venues for New York shows on March 17 & 18Black Eyed Peas- Rock That Body (remixes)

Duumu Releases Dreamy “Illuminate” EP

A word that is thrown around a lot in music production these days is “organic”. As today's music continues to take steps away from acoustic instruments, many innovative artists strive to achieve a sound that feels as natural as walking through the woods. For electronic music, artists like Tycho and Geotic have synthesized antique pianos and soft guitars The post Duumu Releases Dreamy “Illuminate” EP appeared first on EDM Sauce.

Baauer gives Gorillaz ‘Saturnz Barz’ a trap tune-up

Anticipation continues to mount as the Gorillaz tease the release of their HUMANZ LP, driven further by its recent remixes from some momentous names in electronic music. With just one week to go until we are graced with the new album – the virtual band’s first full-length project in over five years – ZHU has released his haunting remix to the group’s DRAM-assisted song, “Andromeda.” Now, the viral alt-electronic group has enlisted the help of trap and bass music producer, Baauer, on their track, “Saturn Barz.”In his take on the track, the Philadelphia native keeps the group’s original construction as the focal, with it’s heavily hip-hop influenced ethos, adding in a deeper bass line and only few subtle trap elements here and there. Baauer’s influence really shines during the song’s second drop, with a safe but edgy breakdown that will having listeners moving in a four-to-the-floor manner.
