MARTIN GARRIX & ED SHEERAN RELEASE LONG-AWAITED COLLABORATION “REPEAT IT”

Martin Garrix & Ed Sheeran release “Repeat It” after more than a decade of anticipation, officially delivering one of the most talked-about unreleased collaborations in dance music. Released via STMPD RCRDS, the single arrives as a special birthday release for Martin Garrix while finally giving fans the collaboration they have spent years asking for online.

Originally started over 12 years ago in Nashville, “Repeat It” was recently revisited and completed by Garrix and Ed Sheeran. The finished version blends Sheeran’s signature songwriting and emotional vocal delivery with Garrix’s polished electronic production, combining dance-pop melodies with orchestral textures and guitar-driven elements.

For years, fans continuously flooded comment sections asking both artists when the collaboration would finally be released. Now, Martin Garrix & Ed Sheeran release Repeat It as one of the biggest crossover moments of 2026.

“To be announcing and releasing this single around my 30th birthday feels incredibly special,” Garrix shared. “We actually started this song 12 years ago in Nashville, and for the longest time I genuinely thought it would never be an official release. So to finally be here now feels really surreal.”

Garrix also described working alongside Sheeran as one of the most meaningful creative experiences of his career.

“Working with Ed has been so much fun. He’s an incredible human, artist, but also one of my dear friends from the industry,” Garrix added. “We’ve shared so many cool memories over the years. I’m really proud that we finally get to release this together.”

Sheeran reflected on the origins of the collaboration, revealing the song first came together after the pair became friends during a night out in Amsterdam over a decade ago.

“Me and Martin made Repeat It 12 years ago after we made friends on a night out in Amsterdam,” Sheeran shared. “Every day fans leave comments under my posts asking where it is, so this one is for you guys.”
