Do LaB Opens Coachella 2026 Weekend Two With Surprise GRiZ Set, Sub Focus, LYNY and More

One of the biggest moments of the day came at the close of night one, when GRiZ took over the Do LaB stage as one of the evening’s surprise guests. The fan-favorite electronic artist delivered a set built around live saxophone, high-energy bass drops, and the future funk sound that has become central to his identity.
Do LaB opened the second weekend of the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Friday, April 17 with a genre-spanning day of performances that moved from groove-driven selections to bass-heavy sets and late-night surprises.
Earlier in the evening, Sub Focus emerged as the first surprise guest of the night. The British drum and bass producer and DJ brought a set packed with euphoric melodies and driving basslines, moving through drum and bass anthems that immediately energized the crowd and helped shape the tone for the rest of the night.

Among the day’s back-to-back highlights, LEVEL UP B2B Mary Droppinz delivered a forceful performance centered on bass-driven sound design, heavy low-end pressure, and dark atmospheric textures. Their set pushed momentum forward while reinforcing the Do LaB’s reputation for boundary-pushing programming.

The Brothers Macklovitch, the duo of A-Trak and Dave 1, brought a different energy to the stage with a groove-focused, sun-soaked set that drew from the sounds that shaped their crate-digging upbringing. Their appearance added another layer to a lineup that moved fluidly across styles throughout the day.
Chicago-based producer LYNY brought his own distinct approach to bass music, weaving together hip-hop and trap influences with subtle touches of R&B. His set also featured a guest appearance from Hamdi, adding another notable moment to the day’s programming.
Another standout came from ÆON:MODE B2B Blossom, whose high-energy back-to-back carried the Do LaB crowd from the afternoon into the evening. Their set balanced heavy basslines and dynamic rhythmic shifts, maintaining a steady sense of momentum as the day transitioned into night.
Previously announced day one programming also featured Patricio, Arthi, Sam Alfred, and SBTRKT, rounding out a schedule that reflected the Do LaB’s wide-ranging musical direction during the opening day of Coachella weekend two.
With surprise appearances from GRiZ and Sub Focus, standout back-to-backs, and a lineup that covered multiple corners of electronic music, the Do LaB opened its second weekend at Coachella 2026 with another strong showing.
