“I think I met you in a dream last night” was a lyric I had jotted down in my little red book of ideas,” bbyclose shared. “One sunny day in London, Stevie Appleton played some sick piano chords and the line came back to me. We sat outside, piecing the lyrics together — and that’s how ‘Blackberries’ was born. Fun fact: the song was nearly called Wasabi.”
