Syence add to the ‘Chemistry’ of Steve Void and No Mondays

When it comes to formulating intelligent musical hypotheses and utilizing the studio to experiment and test said hypotheses, there’s a new duo Syence that are donning their white lab coats and getting down to business. Their newest discovery was the winner of Steve Void‘s remix competition for his and collaborator No Mondays’ popular single, “Chemistry.”With a track name like that, there was definitely no better artist that could win besides the scientific California-based duo. Syence did a great job leaving enough of the original intact to further the overall futuristic sound and showcase the catchy vocals of Clara Mae. The duo subtly break the track down, cleverly stripping away a few layers off of the multitude of original melodic content to reveal the track’s capacious core.Read More:Steve Void & No Mondays feat. Listen to Krewella’s new single ‘Team’

While the last few years have come with unfortunate controversy and soul searching for sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf, better known as Krewella, in May the duo successfully demonstrated they had moved on with the release of their first EP in three years, entitled Ammunition. The genre-surfing six-song compilation, which incorporates influences from heavy metal to trap to pop, not only signified the return of Krewella, but showcased the continued sonic evolution of the sisters well passed the signature commercial bass sound that catapulted them to fame. With their latest track, titled “Team”, Krewella continues to explore new territory. Starting off with soft vocals, buoyant rhythms, and an energetic percussion arrangement, “Team” is one of Krewella’s most commercial-friendly offerings yet. The song’s intensity picks up with an infectious hook that leads to an explosive drop filled with dancehall-inspired percussion loops and the eccentric synth work that have become EDM mainstays over the past year. The music video for “Team” shows Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf partying carefree in LA with their friends. From the visual, it appears as if the Yousaf sisters have emerged from the past few trying years with newfound confidence about who they are both as artists and as individuals.Read More:Krewella – Ammunition EPPegboard Nerds & NGHTMRE – Superstar (Feat. NOAHPLAUSE – I’m Back [Free DL]

After five long months of silence, NOAHPLAUSE has finally reemerged onto Soundcloud with a fiery new original, “I’m Back.” Featuring his signature mix of hard bass elements and a inconceivable synth work, the track comes as the perfect welcome-back present for his ever-expanding base of listeners. It begins with harsh atmospheric growls and scrapes, until an abrasive percussion arrangement takes hold of the track’s focus. Short vocal chops and a rushing swell of white noise lead us to the drop, where spectrum-wide synth wipes swing around the mix above a rumbling sub bass and rolling hi hats. After a second pass, the synths are exchanged for an ungodly series of metallic grinding noises, leading us to the track’s close. Listen below, and check further down to grab your free download! Young Swedish newcomer Penthox has made a considerable splash at the mere age of 18. Gramatik releases ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’ remix EP

Gramatik and his label Lowtemp tap the talent of Beat Fatigue, Psymbionic, and Cobrayama for remixes of Gramatik’s collaborative hip-hop track, “Satoshi Nakamoto,” adding another group to the ever-growing pool of momentous Epigram remixes. The original, which is named after the mysterious person or group that invented the revolutionary BitCoin technology, is a return to Gramatik’s hip hop roots, and as such, was perfectly suited for rappers Probcause and Adrian Lau to lay down some thick verses upon. The EP features three new versions of “Satoshi Nakamoto,” which has already reached legendary status after its original release in early 2016 as part of Gramatik’s latest LP, Epigram. The first of the re-inventors to throw his hats into Gramatik’s cryptocurrency ring is the Amsterdam-based Beat Fatigue, who adds additional live instrumentation and a very healthy dose of funk.Hot on the heels of Beat Fatigue is Gravitas Records label manager and multi-tempo bass music producer Psymbionic, who creatively slices the original up and gives it his signature synthesized sonic treatment. Finally, ex-Exmag member Mike Lannato, now known as Cobrayama, finishes off the EP with a more laid-back, retro re-imagination that utilizes the nostalgic themes of the original as the main focal point.Read More:Gramatik – Native Son (ft.
