GALCHER LUSTWERK RELEASES NEW VESTIBULE EP FIRST BODY OF WORK FROM THE PRODUCER IN 2 YEARS OUT NOW via STRATASONIC
Prolific house producer Galcher Lustwerk comes back to the dancefloor limelight with his brand new, three-tracker EP Vestibule — his first solo body of work in two years.
Marking his return to StrataSonic Records after last year’s remix of ANiML’s “Bruv,” Vestibule is a snappy three-track splicing of woozy introspective depth and narrative-driven hip-hop. Expect smoked-out, jazzy grooves and autobiographical flowstate bars in a singular strain of house that only Galcher has mastered. The EP is led by “Shorty Out”, a scuffy and distorted rap-house cut suited for both the club and a late-night subway ride.
Originally from Cleveland and now based in New York, Lustwerk has released key records on Ghostly and his own Lustwerk Music, earned consistent praise from Resident Advisor and Pitchfork, and appeared as Beatportal’s cover artist in 2022. His influence extends from rooms like Panorama Bar and Nowadays to festivals such as Dekmantel, as well as fashion and art-adjacent spaces. His 2013 mixtape 100% Galcher is widely regarded as an underground landmark, often cited as a formative influence on a generation of house producers.
Vestibule is out now, hot off the heels of StrataSonic’s art week event at Mexico City’s Zona Maco, which featured Hercules & Love Affair, Galcher Lustwerk, Bill Patrick, and Mystery Affair.
