WAX MOTIF UNVEILS FINAL CLUB WEAPON OF 2025 ‘TOUCH IT’

Out NOW via Divided Souls Records

Hot off his official remix for Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘DON’T KILL THE PARTY’, Wax Motif returns with one more undeniable club weapon to close out 2025. Out December 19th via Divided Souls Records, ‘Touch It’ sees the Chinese-Australian producer lean into a brighter, more playful side of his sound – delivering an upbeat, club-driven record built around a catchy female vocal that nods to early-2000s R&B hits.

Anchored by the flirtatious hook “C’mon, give it to me right,” the track pairs bouncy basslines, crisp percussion, and Wax’s trademark low-end polish with a vocal that feels instantly familiar yet undeniably modern. Designed for packed dancefloors, ‘Touch It’ balances throwback charm with contemporary club energy.

Daniel Chien, better known as Wax Motif, has built a career redefining modern house music by seamlessly blending R&B, disco, and U.K. bass influences into club-ready productions. The Australian-born, Los Angeles–based producer has become a rare hybrid artist respected across both electronic and hip-hop worlds, collaborating with artists such as Ty Dolla $ign, G-Eazy, Tinashe, and GRAMMY-nominated Zhu. In 2024, he reached new heights as a co-producer on Ty Dolla $ign’s globally celebrated album, which debuted at #1 in 80 countries within 24 hours, and launched his Waxtroda project alongside Matroda with a sold-out four-hour debut at Brooklyn Mirage.

In 2025, Wax Motif continued his momentum with a string of charting releases on his Divided Souls Records imprint. ‘Gimme That Money’ and ‘Run It Up’ both landed in the Top 10 on Beatport’s Bass House charts, while November’s ‘BOTA’ with Brazilian icon MC Lan showcased his ability to bridge global sounds with dance music. Supported by millions of streams, backing from Dom Dolla, John Summit, Solomun, Meduza, and Chris Lake, and standout performances at HARD Summer, Seismic Dance Event, Club Space, and The Concourse Project, Wax remains a dominant force across festival stages and underground dancefloors alike.

Upbeat, infectious, and built to move a room, ‘Touch It’ closes out Wax Motif’s 2025 run on a high – equal parts nostalgia, modern club energy, and forward momentum into the New Year.
