“Open Your Heart is a motivational song that I wrote kind of as a ‘reminder’ to myself; it’s meant to stir you in a forward direction with a positive mindset,” Heldens says. “It’s about how we as humans learn from our struggles and from going out of our comfort zones, with an open heart. As in no matter what happens, as long as you ‘open your heart’, you’ll be on the right path. Musically, I was mostly inspired by indie dance and synthwave type of music by the likes of MGMT, M83, Empire of the Sun, Kavinsky, and Daft Punk.”

The release follows a whirlwind September that saw Oliver light up Ushuaïa in Ibiza, bring his unmistakable energy to Nocturnal Wonderland, and headline packed club dates. That momentum now carries into October with a run of major events, including Rise Festival in Nevada, Ministry of Fun in Slovakia, and Epic in Prague, before two huge moments during Amsterdam Dance Event: his annual sold-out Heldeep showcase at Melkweg and a high-profile set at AMF to close out the week. The tour continues into November with Ultra Music Festival in Taipei, making “Open Your Heart” both a timely release and a fitting soundtrack to one of the busiest stretches of his career.
