Kill Safari, the exhilarating collaboration between Bro Safari and Kill The Noise, is back with their energetic new single “UGS.” This track is the first taste of their upcoming Crashout EP, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled! Known for their energetic back-to-back sets and innovative genre-blending production, the duo has made a striking return with a sound that feels both raw and thoughtfully crafted.
“This song and the entire EP came from us getting back to why we started making music together in the first place, no expectations — just experimenting, laughing, and chasing the ideas that feel good. It ended up becoming something that really captures both of our sounds in a natural way.”
– Kill Safari
Gangsta Sh*T!
Fading into view with heavy reverberated vocals and ominous synths or guitar chords, Kill Safari clearly sets the tone for the mayhem that’s about to unfold with UGS. G-G-Gangsta Shit, screams Ice Cube from the heavy vocal sample, then suddenly a massive kick drum begins to signal the build-up of the track with heavy thumps. “I’m still comin’ with that underground, gangsta shit!” yells Ice Cube, a lyric from his 1999 hit “You can do it” off the next Friday soundtrack.
Crashing through the speakers are the distorted drums and raspy bass lines. Like the little guy sitting in the chair trying to hold on to his glass, the drop hits you hard in the chest. The vocal chops are spliced in and out as chaos takes hold; glitchy, hypnotizing samples envelope the listener. With a trench-like groove, the middle portion of the song takes you away. Sirens arise, and the chaos subsides toward the final portion of the track.
The ominous beat eerily rides out as Ice Cube’s vocals are spliced in here and there, before a heavy reverb signals the ending of this newest Deadbeats mayhem. Previewing a large portion of this material during a massive Lost Lands set at the Crater Stage, Kill Safari indubitably marks the beginning of the Crashout era!
