Viral bass innovator HEYZ teams up with retro-inspired producer WODD for a weird and wobbly reimagining of JT’s 2006 smash hit “ Sexy Back”. Out now via Kannibalen Records, the track captures the original swagger of Timberlake with a modern uptake of punchy stabs, a wonky minimal drop, and a rumbling low-end bass line built to shake festival grounds and have the wooks going wild. The track fuses HEYZ’s explosive energy with WODD’s genre-blending creativity, creating a reworking like no other.

Time to Bring Sexy Part Duex!
Beginning with Justin Timberlake’s undeniable hook, the track builds similarly to the original but with an extra punch added by HEYZ. Just as the track reaches its boiling point and you might expect a heavy drop to follow, it switches gears and transforms into a strange, wobbly ethos of croaking sounds. The deep bass rattles the room as the dancefloor drops lower and lower, with this low-end grinder rumbling on. Excerpts of lyrics splice in and out as the wobbling drop continues.
Around the halfway point, the big bass dissolves into the wind, and the track transitions into a cool interlude as JT’s lyrics drive the song once again. As Timberland directs them to “take em to the chorus,” the snares start to roll and build the tension for the second drop. Weirder and wobblier than the first drop, it liquefies into bass rumbling chaos. Huge helicopter-like noises swirl overhead as the deep, billowing wubs invade your chest cavity. Timberlake’s vocals creep back into the track for the final part of the song, perfectly wrapping up this gnarly mid-2000s reworking of “Sexy Back”.
