TUKAN Return With New Single Layover – Out September 12

Brussels-based collective TUKAN will release their new single “Layover” on September 12, 2025, marking the next chapter in their ever-expanding journey of live electronic music. The track follows the release of their celebrated sophomore album Human Drift earlier this year, which cemented TUKAN as one of the most electrifying acts on today’s global stage.
Driven by an unrelenting groove and energetic percussion, “Layover” blends deep bass lines, glowing synth layers, and sharp melodies, capturing the essence of TUKAN: an organic fusion of raw energy and electronic sophistication. Born from the high-energy nights of their Human Drift European tour, “Layover” channels the synergy between stage and audience into a pulsing, atmospheric anthem.
Evolving Through Live Energy
TUKAN says: “Layover was born from that experience: a track designed as the soundtrack to those nights when the stage and the crowd merge into one.”
Released in January 2025, their album Human Drift captured years of evolution into a cohesive and unifying body of work. Its launch was celebrated with a sold-out 90-minute performance at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, where hypnotic visuals and masterful musicianship fused into an immersive experience that reaffirmed the band’s reputation as a must-see live act. The release of “Layover” also kicks off TUKAN’s North American tour this fall, expanding their international presence and inviting new audiences into their dynamic world.
Formed when Nathan, Andrea, and Samuel met at Antwerp’s Jazz Studio, TUKAN solidified their lineup with drummer Alexandre in 2023. Since then, they have released a self-titled debut EP (2021),their first full-length Atoll (2022),the remix edition Atoll Extended (2023),and performed over 150 concerts worldwide. Through each milestone, the group has refined a sound and ethos built on unity, collaboration, and the transformative energy of live connection.
