Mz Worthy, Clayton William, and L.O.P. LIFE (aka Life On Planets) have teamed up for a groovy new single ‘Smoke Show’ out now as part of the Dirtybird’s 20th anniversary.

Serving as the second release from Dirtybird’s inaugural Flight Week writing camp in San Francisco, ‘Smoke Show’ captures the collaborative spirit driving the milestone celebration. Charged with rocking guitar riffs with playful vocal hooks, the track merges Mz Worthy’s bold rhythmic sensibility with Clayton Williams’ polished production instincts, while L.O.P. LIFE brings his signature charisma to the mic. ‘Smoke Show’ is cheeky and mischievous, reflecting the trio’s individuality while embracing the fearless experimentation that defines Dirtybird.

The Artists Behind “Smoke Show”

Mz Worthy is one of Dirtybird’s earliest champions, first breaking out in 2007 with her track ‘Irst Te’. She’s remained an integral part of the label with releases like ‘Tric Trac’ with Eats Everything (2011), ‘Dip’ (2013) and compilation appearances with ‘Humble Mumble’ (2010), ‘So Delicious’ (2015), and ‘Take A Ride’ (2019). Beyond her catalog, Mz Worthy has become a voice for inclusivity in dance music. She openly shares her transgender journey while infusing her artistry with messages of positivity and self-love. After coming out in 2020, she reintroduced herself as Mz Worthy in 2022 with the release of ‘Love & Give’. This year, Mz Worthy joined the flock at Dirtybird’s flagship Campout and CampINN festivals.

Clayton Williams is a Bay Area producer, remixer, DJ and A&R at EMPIRE Records. His studio work includes production and engineering for artists such as E-40, Too $hort, G-Eazy, Lil Jon, and Fireboy DML, as well as a Grammy nomination for credits on Asake and Wiz Kid’s ‘MMS’. Clayton also remains enmeshed with the underground electronic scene, with releases on Lee Foss’s South of Saturn and AC Slater’s Night Bass, and collaborations with Techno Tupac, RaeCola, and n808.

L.O.P. LIFE is a creative extension of Baltimore-bred vocalist and instrumentalist Life On Planets. The LA-based artist first appeared on the label as part of Lubelski’s Happy Accidents and has since become a consistent face at Dirtybird’s event series and festivals. His quirky blend of R&B, hip hop, and house has attracted the attention of Walker & Royce, Soul Clap, Archie Hamilton, and Moody Jones and labels like Defected, Rules Don’t Apply, Desert Hearts, Solotoko, and Young Art. Earlier this summer, Life On Planets performed at Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights and the label’s second annual Back To Baysics
