Slowly fading in are the wavy synths and reverby overlays, emerging like a mirage in the summer sun. The emotional vocals blast through the speakers as the tension starts to build, and the synths shimmer in the background. During the first drop, GRiZ’s soundscape shines through in beautiful clarity, like a setting sun beneath the mountain ranges. Discrete dubstep samples sneak into the sound design, as the powerful vocals command the track with full force.
Grabbing your loved one and holding them tight, the middle portion of the song carries you along as the sun’s rays blind you with their warming allure. A collaboration destined for glory, the softer side of GRiZ shows his diverse range once again. The drums pound through vigorously, signaling the final drop of this end-of-summer encapsulation. The enormous, raspy basslines wiggle and wave the listener during this final portion of the song. Your spirit animal flies free until the final note rings, and one comes back down to earth.
