It’s not the first time the pair have worked together. Last summer’s “Summertime Blues,” released on Lake’s label Black Book Records with Nathan Nicholson. It paired Virji’s garage-infused rhythms with Lake’s refined house energy, earning heavy rotation across clubs and festivals. Because of that success, many fans expect “925” to bring the same contagious energy.

A Fresh Collaboration, An Album on the Way, and Tours that Keep the Energy High

Virji has been on a nonstop run this year, with his Same Day Cleaning tour already in full swing. The tour runs through mid-November. He’ll be hitting cities across North America and Europe, using each stop to build excitement ahead of the album’s release. Today, he unveiled the full 16-track list for the record, which features collaborations with Skepta, Giggs, Champion and IRAH, Salute, Issy Cross, and more. This collaboration with Lake was first teased at his Tomorrowland set. Immediately, its infectious groove and had the crowd going wild from the first drop.

Chris Lake has been keeping fans on their toes with a mix of high-profile festival sets and intimate pop-up shows in select cities. These unforgettable performances offer fans a rare opportunity to see him in a candid, up-close setting. Recently, he’s slipped “925” into a few of his sets. This also gave fans an early taste of what’s shaping up to be one of the summer’s most talked-about tracks.
