A dubstep track of pure destruction and metal mayhem, “Rewind,” has quickly captivated audiences at Ray Volpe’s live sets. With an immense drop, the vocals of “REEEEWIND” screech fiercely through the air, setting off a thrilling barrage of pure chaos. Blending Sullivan King’s signature heavy metal sound design with Ray’s hard-hitting soundscape, “Rewind” graces us as the third single from Volpe’s much-anticipated album, “Forever, Volpetron.”

Known for his viral festival moments and emotionally intense anthems, Ray Volpe is solidifying his position among Dubstep’s leading forces in the genre today. Following a monumental performance at EDC Las Vegas, where fans literally sent the rails crashing together, nothing can stop the centrifugal force that is Volpetron. His latest release, “Rewind,” further cements his meteoric rise in 2025.

“Sullivan King is a close friend & one of my favorite people to make music with…“He’s so creative & our collabs always come so easy. I feel like our intent when making music together is to just have fun, which is how “REWIND” came together. I can’t wait to hear everyone screaming REEEWWWINNNDDD!!!”

REEEWWWINNNDDD!!!

Opening with powerful bass lines that surge forward forcefully, then quickly tapering off, this teasing technique keeps every headbanger on the edge of their seat, anticipating what will unfold. “Drop that shit, mother…Send that shit, mother…” echoes through the dials as the intro intensifies. “Oh sh*t, we’re in for it now!” Everything hits simultaneously: high-pitched vocal chops, building snares, and hard-hitting bass create an overwhelming experience. Suddenly, the track quiets, providing a brief moment to hold on tightly; the reverse snares clap once more, and then it happens…

“REEEEEEWIND!” scorches through the air as all hell breaks loose! Volpetron and Sullivan King’s high-energy bass blasts through the speakers at hyper speed! Tossed this way and that by the Dubstep Gods, “Rewind” swallows the listener whole. “Walk me to my…” screams violently in between fills. This is where Sullivan King’s hybrid sound design comes into play. I had the pleasure of catching this one live on ILLFest’s Main Stage just 24 hours after the track launched… and let me tell you it was even more epic than words can express.

The nasty, reverberated basslines ring out as the track nears its completion, but not before one last drop! The lights dim; it’s time to run that sh*t back one more time. Oh no, those pesky claps are back… “REEEEEEWIND!” The final drop is just as powerful as the first, cascading over the listener until its final notes ring out. Fans can catch this exciting new single in just a few weeks on the Tripolee stage as Ray makes his Electric Forest debut.
