Electronic music pioneer MiMOSA makes a triumphant return with the release of his “All I Know” EP. Launched under the esteemed Muti Music imprint, this six-track EP highlights MiMOSA’s shift towards a darker, heavier dubstep style. Infused with Riddim, Trench, and Dubstep influences, “All I Know” serves as a cosmic journey through a weightier soundscape.
Renowned as an influential figure in electronic music, MiMOSA has built an impressive legacy with his extensive catalog. Monstrous tracks like “Lost,” “Dripping,” “Fluorescence,” and “Lullaby” have garnered millions of streams on Spotify. Known for his collaborations with prominent hip-hop artists such as Bun B, Too Short, and Prodigy of MOBB DEEP, MiMOSA’s hip-hop roots are evident in his latest release on tracks like “SWRV” and “Freddy.”

“This EP pries into the heavier side of Mimosa. I would describe it as ‘high energy west coast underground bass music for the masses’. Made to be listened to on large sound systems to rattle your skull.” -MiMOSA
All I Know
Opening with the title track “All I Know” (featuring Jesse Love), this expansive journey is driven by trench-style rhythms, creating a heavy hypnotic effect throughout the beat. A powerful introduction to this bold release, MiMOSA continues to push the boundaries of Modern Bass Music. Switching gears and diving into the next track “SWRV,” a gritty hip-hop induced collaboration with KOWTA, delivers glitchy, raspy bass lines that add a new hip-hop heavy texture to the EP.
Drifting off into the sunset with this next track is the synth-heavy “Skyrise.” Set to a riddim-esque backbeat, “Skyrise” is driven by wavy synths that carry you into another realm. The hard-hitting riddim beat drives this track home with its glitchy textures and delicate overlays. Next up is the trap-inspired song “Everybody” featuring Corey; with winding overlays and trench-like textures, this one gets grimy and heavy real quick.
Probably the darkest track on the EP, “Freddy” delivers an ominous feel layered with Freddy Krueger-inspired hip-hop verses. Huge reverberated bass lines engulf the listener. Closing out the EP is the space-filled Odyssey that is “Always On My Mind.” With punchy riddim beats, a multi-textured soundscape, “Always On My Mind” delivers a heavy but delicate ending to this textured new EP by MiMOSA.
