Rising Los Angeles-based electronic artist KLAXX continues building momentum toward his debut album with the release of his second single, “can’t come down,” out June 20 via bitbird. Following the success of lead single “safe space”—which earned placements on Spotify’s Hyperpop, Trap Mojito, and the cover of Soundcloud’s Level Up Playlist —KLAXX now dives headfirst into the golden age of festival-ready EDM with his most high-energy track of the year.

A collaboration with vocalist Luxtides, “can’t come down” is a massive future bass anthem brimming with glitchy FX, massive drums, and euphoric vocal melodies. Fusing the emotional storytelling of Porter Robinson with the explosive energy of Knock2, KLAXX crafts a sound that feels nostalgic and forward-thinking all at once.

KLAXX

This song is about loving that feeling of happiness and love and not wanting to come down from that high,” KLAXX shares. “You only get one true love in this life and you never want to let that go. I truly think this is one of my most epic and high energy productions.

KLAXX will bring this energy to the stage as direct support for San Holo’s Wholesome Riddim Tour, with performances at Stereo Live in Houston (June 20) and AYU Dayclub in Las Vegas (June 22). It’s the latest milestone in a breakout year for the independent artist, who’s earned co-signs from NGHTMRE, ARMNHMR and others.

“can’t come down” marks another thrilling chapter for KLAXX—an artist unafraid to chase emotional highs and turn them into unforgettable moments on the dancefloor.
