After first connecting in the studio with the dubstep bruiser “Moshpit,” DJ DIESEL and IVORY return for round two with the high-octane Drum and Bass weapon “Run it.” Dropping Wednesday, May 7th, courtesy of Monstercat Records, this hip-hop-infused drum and bass monstrosity hits you full force. Having the pleasure of witnessing this energy last fall during Shaq’s Bass All-Stars event in Fort Worth, Diesel delivers a powerful experience for all.

Both are coming off a monumental start to 2025, and it only makes sense for these two amazing artists to reunite once again. Having recently dropped the massively popular track “Pay Respect” with Gorilla T and FRAXURE, Diesel rides a tidal wave of success after an edition of Shaq’s Bass All Stars during Miami Music Week and the recently announced Phoenix edition at Rawhide Event Center.
Meanwhile, IVORY has garnered significant attention with the recent release of his Riots EP and the enormous success of his 2024 single “Jackpot” with the acclaimed Kompany, earning him over 1.2 million streams on Spotify. With a headlining date in Philadelphia and plenty more new music on the way, this Paris-based producer continues to turn heads with his innovative style within the bass realm.

Opening with an ominous, robotic-like synth, the wavy synths ring out as Shaq’s fierce vocals lace the track. Displaying clever metaphors and wordplay, Shaq’s commanding voice raps over the progressive beat in the introduction. The vocals fade out as the beat begins to build, leading into a wild first drop. A hellfire of drum and bass reigns down, while the raspy bass lines wind up and ring out amidst the futuristic soundscape.
“That went over your head; I surpassed the limit,” Shaq states in the track’s midsection. A brief vocal interlude follows before the final drop. As the song reaches its final segment, it leaves nothing behind during the final drop. Splashing in industrial noises with a drum and bass finale, the track smoothly glides to an end. This thrilling experience captivates listeners, flooding them with energy from beginning to end. It’s sure to be a highlight at festivals, instantly whipping the crowd into a frenzy.
