Miami producer, DJ and songwriter John Elle, FKA Baddies Only, teams up with Lenny Tavárez and Shadow Blow for the sizzling new single, ‘Reloj’, out today via Looking Pop.
‘Reloj’ oozes poolside-ready summer vibes, as Puerto Rican singer Lenny Tavárez and Dominican artist Shadow Blow trade passionate, heartfelt vocals over John Elle’s clean, piano-laced Afrobeat instrumental. A fluttering, finger-picked traditional Latin guitar weaves through the rhythm, complementing the latter half’s drowsy, filtered vocal phrases with warmth and texture.
John Elle on the making of ‘Reloj’: “A few months before Billboard Latin Music Week last November, I hosted a music camp in the Dominican Republic—a creative getaway where I bring together a few close friends, producers, and songwriters. During that trip, I produced a track with my friend Andres Notas that immediately felt special. The chord progression was unlike anything we’d made before—unusual, emotional, and completely unique.”
“Then came our session with Lenny Tavárez during Billboard Latin Music Week. I played him the track, and his reaction was immediate—he loved it. Within minutes, he, Shadow Blow, and the rest of the writers in the room were throwing out melodies. The hook came together almost instantly. It was one of those lightning-in-a-bottle moments, and just like that, the song was born.”
The John Elle alias marks a new chapter for Miami-based DJ and producer Jonathan Einhorn, who gained global attention with 15 million followers, 6 billion views, and a string of high-energy live sets and viral content. With over 250 million Spotify streams, a #1 spot on Traxsource, and a Top 100 Beatport entry, he was also ranked among Spotify’s Top 40 most-listened-to DJs in the USA. His breakout hit ‘Aquí Las Colombianas’ reached #6 on Shazam Dance Global with 1.2 million Shazams.
John Elle on the new chapter: “Baddies Only was a bold experiment designed to capture attention and inspire a community. Now, with the amazing followers who’ve joined me on this incredible ride, it’s time to reveal the next chapter: John Elle. This rebrand isn’t just a name change; it’s a reflection of artistic growth, depth, and my evolution as a vocalist and producer. I’ve reached a stage where I want the world to see and hear the real person behind the music, with authenticity at its core. John Elle marks a new era of creative freedom, personal storytelling, and musical innovation. ‘Baddies Only’ was just the beginning.”
Dubbed by Snapchat as “the most entertaining man in the world,” John has sold out top venues worldwide and soundtracked major festivals like Coachella, EDC, and Ultra. In 2024, he launched his label Club Bad Records, releasing ‘Coroa’ with Jesus Fernandez, ‘Cintura’ with Max Hurrell, and two collaborations with PRIMO: ‘SI TE VAS’, which dropped on May 2nd, and ‘LUCES DE NEON’, released on April 11th, landing on top playlists across Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer, and YouTube.
The John Elle era officially launches today with ‘Reloj’ featuring Lenny Tavárez and Shadow Blow. Next comes ‘No Creo En Amor,’ with John stepping in as vocalist, followed by an EP of his biggest tracks to date. Keep your eyes peeled.
