Ethereal Dutch formulator IMANU delivers his most anticipated body of work yet with the release of the new five-track EP “Entangled.” With genre-bending tracks and cosmic heights, this emotionally charged new EP captivates listeners everywhere. Renowned for his sonic boundaries and haunting overlays, IMANU exposes his true self in this work.

These unique soundscapes reflect the eclectic artistic journey that IMANU is pursuing. Well-suited to the dreary vibes of a rainy spring, these songs are the soundtrack to my life. Although I might be two decades behind, any of these tracks could fit seamlessly into the acclaimed film, Butterfly Effect, starring Ashton Kutcher. The emotionally charged vocals, rich melodic textures, and a hint of drum and bass create a distinctive path for IMANU.

Let the journey begin

As vibrant as his fashion sense, this somber wonderland immerses the listener in a hauntingly beautiful introspection. Similar to beautiful tulips emerging from gravestones, “ Entangled “pries into personal insecurities and explores the depths of one’s soul. Opening with the hauntingly beautiful “ Chaos On Fire “ featuring Ephe, the entrancing vocals and ominous synths grab the listener’s ear upon first strike. Materializing amid drawn-out bass lines, the resonant lyrics ringing loudly in my head.

Transitioning to the more upbeat track “It Doesn’t Matter,” featuring Emilia Ali, the flowing synths resonate while stutter-house rhythms consume the beat. A captivating pulse tugs at the heart as Emilia moves forward. The gentle rhythm effortlessly flows in the background, creating a harmonious texture for this song. Each vocal delivery expresses a heartfelt plea filled with raw emotion.

Brutal Meets Beauty

With “Hush” featuring Kroy, the journey progresses as the brutalist beat resonates. IMANU’s delicate aggression stands out, forming a perfect blend of harmony amidst chaos. The gritty and forceful bass lines elicit a unique empathy through this exceptional collaboration.

Shifting gears and delivering a burst of high-energy tinge of Drum and Bass, “All Too Late” featuring Rhode continues the path of the brutalist effort. Intertwined with introspective lyrics, this one delivers a different style of energy. Like a long night out with friends and a sunrise-laden drive home, “All Too Late” drives this high-octane journey to a beautiful close, leading into the closing track.

Like an eloquent bow to a heartfelt play, red roses litter the stage as “Kintsugi,” featuring Tasha Baxter and the acclaimed Flux Pavilion, graces our presence. A perfect balance of several elements used for this project, this culminating track reaches an EP climax. Combining ethereal production styles with brutalist, drum and bass-infused efforts, this delicate masterpiece closes the curtains ever so softly, leaving the listener in awe.
