Another year in the books and another magical sold out festival for Lights All Night! The eighth
annual event had a total of 30,000 attendees at the Dallas Market Hall who danced their hearts
out to acclaimed DJs such as Porter Robinson, NGHTMRE, Marshmallow, Bassnectar,
TokiMonsta, Illenium, Seven Lions, and many more.
Day 1 the party was started by the rising producer Wongo from Australia on the Satellite stage
with his panty dropping house beats. The first main stage, The Satellite stage, was created to
give you the feel as if you were in a European club atmosphere. A few of the following DJs were
OOKAY, Whipped Cream, Illenium, Smokepurpp, Porter Robinson, Liquid Stranger, and the bass
God Bassnectar wrapping up the night on the Supernova stage. The Supernova stage consisted
of a world class LED production close to the size of a football field which really had us tearing up
during Porter’s heart felt visuals.
Around the venue you could venture out to find Phunkee Love selling funk-tastic clothing
featuring bright tanks, T’s, and quarter length T’s and Light Sound Dimension with their trippy
psychedelic clothing line. Glo FX and Kande Kreations were lighting up the night with their
orbits, poi, gloves and my favorite from Glo Fx the space whips. Guest were also treated to an
unlimited portable charging station provided by Electric Standard Co. Did anyone happen to
take a ride on the fabulous bedazzled mechanical shark (YES SHARK!) which was located closeto the Satellite stage?
The two outdoor areas included yummy food from food truck vendors such as pizza from
Yummy Pizza, tacos by Abe’s Flavor Flave, Shawarma Point serving up Mediterranean food, and
sandwiches from Newk’s Eatery
Day 2 our ears were welcomed by the obtrusive bass and chill tunes from upcoming artist
Brothel. back to back with Essex. You can never go wrong dropping in on Morgan Page’s set
and screaming out the lyrics “I’ll FIGHT FOR YOUUUU..!” NGHTMRE was bringing his Gud
Vibrations along with his new track collabing with Wiz Khalifa and PnB Rock “TTM”.
This year
NGHTMRE will be producing with rap artist A$AP Ferg and we can’t wait to hear! Following was
Destructo, Seven Lions, and the mysterious Marshmellow leaving our ears buzzing at the end of the night.
Let’s not forget to mention the great amount of love and donations Lights All Night received
from attendees and DJs to support the Hurricane Harvey victims.
Over $22,000 was donated to
the Houston Food Bank and huge appreciations go out to Bassnectar, Porter Robinson, Illenium,
Seven Lions, Ookay, Drezo, and Tokimonsta agreed to match the donations of the attendees!
