Latmun has ascended the ranks swiftly over his relatively brief tenure in dance music to become one of the foremost talents to deliver heavy grooves that floor their audience. His smooth, yet dynamic tracks consistently find themselves in his peers’ sets as well, sealing him in as a key artist in the house realm.

Lee Foss recruited Latmun to sign his most recent work onto Repopulate Mars, and the finished result is as dynamic as one would expect from the burgeoning act. Groove Tool opens with its title track, which was engineered to get the dance-floor moving. An infectious bass-line and warm, fluttering percussion provide an excellent background for invigorating vocal clips and roaring synths that strike at opportune moments to maintain the record’s momentum. Overall, “Groove Tool” is a playful summer track that fits perfectly for the cheery nature of the season.

Groove Tool will be released on Friday, August 4. You can pre-order it here.
