Nathan Barato has been a longtime house music staple on labels such as Hot Creations, Suara, Moda Black, and Defected. For his most recent output, the Toronto native has put forth a well-tuned collaboration with the legendary Jamie Jones.
Premiered on Mixmag this week, “Cherry’s Revenge” is the title track off the two artists’ forthcoming EP and gives listeners an idea of what to expect from the duo’s musical brainchild. Serving up a splicing of police sirens and a consistent, jazz-drivven bass line “Cherry’s Revenge” situates itself as a house tune that is irresistibly danceable.
Jones and Barato’s Cherry’s Revenge EP arrives via Hottrax on July 14.
