Dabbling into the darker realms of tech house, Son of 8 have released their latest of underground anthems, “Dark Love.” The group’s imprint, 8 House Records, has acquired a preceded reputation for releasing instantaneously likable tracks with heavy-handed bass lines and addictive rhythmic patterns.

Straying away from their previously rooted “commercial-style” sounds, Sound of 8 drive this track with a timeless industrial-house beat that fits perfectly into the club scene.

Speaking on the break-down of the track, the duo goes into detail on the process behind the production:

“We mainly only used cut up vocals infused with countless effects, delays and reverbs. One of the instruments we used was from Outputs new range of FX units called Movement. That machine is a work of art and completely transforms the simplest of sounds into something unrecognisable from the original sample.”

Proving their dexterous ability to switch genres with ease, Son of 8 are undoubtedly artists to watch in the coming year.
