Last year, New Zealand bass music producer QUIX quickly rose to the spotlight with trap heavy releases on five major labels: NEST, Mad Decent, Fool’s Gold, Buygore and Dim Mak. Following his last revamp of Skrillex and Rick Ross‘ Grammy nominated track “Purple Lamborghini,” the rising artist has continued to turn heads by uniquely blending pop and trap on his latest original mix, “Riot Call.”

The release is the first lift off QUIX’s forthcoming Dim Mak EP and features vocals from songstress Nevve, whose sugary voice brings the track to life and has previously been featured on hits by Jerry Folk, Elephante and Illenium. The blend of QUIX’s hypnotic drops and booming bass with Nevve’s intoxicating vocals points toward a promising upcoming EP filled to the brim with high energy sounds.

QUIX is undoubtedly still riding the high of an unforgettable Miami Music Week, where Getter, Slushii and Adventure Club worked his collaboration with Boombox Cartel into their sets at Ultra, and Major Lazer spun his rework of Bok Nero and Jahlil Beats’ “No Problems” at the main stage.

Fans are in luck as QUIX is currently on tour in North America. Check his official Facebook for the most up to date information on where to catch him live.
