After a long few months on the road for the Prophecy tour with friend and producer Tchami, Mercer is back in the game, releasing new music to the Confession label. Mercer has proven his versatility and passion, creating countless tracks that embody the true roots of house music. Last Friday, the french producer released the infectious remix of Malaa’s “Contagious,” which takes off with a futuristic build up featuring the masked artist’s signature G-House vocals. Mercer’s revision embodies his own renowned style, and what he refers to as “House 2.0” – a sound that connects to the roots of house music while tying together with the music of today.
Speaking with Mercer, we learned the man behind the music has no intentions of dropping out of the game anytime soon. According to the French producer, “That Prophechy tour was such a great experience, it wasn’t difficult at all. It actually went smooth, it was easy and fun, and because of being on the road and having free time, I was able to work on some new music. The best part was being able to work on new music, and play it the same night.” He also mentioned being on tour led to meeting many new artists that he hadn’t been acclimated to prior to touring.
Mercer further revealed he has been working hard on producing multiple new tunes, which he’s eager to finish and release to his fans.
