Following his collaboration with Calvin Harris and Migos, Frank Ocean took to his Beats 1 radio show, “Blonded”, late Friday night and debuted his first solo track, ‘Chanel’ since his dual album release of Blonde and Endless. The track played 18 times during the second half of “Blonded” and featured a soulful remix with A$AP Rocky, which Ocean later released on Soundcloud for his fans.

Following Ocean’s signature idiosyncratic style, the new song’s thoughtful lyrics easily pull at the heart-strings, using colorful metaphors to explain the push and pull of love, the artist’s quick rise to stardom, and the overall importance of duality. “Chanel” has been a hit with fans on Twitter, and has racked up over 250,000 plays on Soundcloud in just 17 hours.

On top of the release, Ocean also turned to Tumblr to post the song’s lyrics and artwork for his excited fans.

Curated with a smooth, sultry beat, rich piano chords, and sensual lyrics, Ocean’s ‘Chanel’ draws excitement from all over the world on what else he might have in store for his fans this year.
