Two albums deep, electro pop protagonists Niki & The Dove remain a Swedish act unparalleled on a global scale. Having kept relatively tight-lipped on whether we can expect a follow-up to 2016’s Everbody’s Heart Is Broken Now, the Scandinavian duo break their silence this month with a weird and wonderful serving of blissful electronic indie pop.

Nostalgic without the nausea, and as infectiously tailored to the duo’s retro waves as their fans have come to expect, “Sushi King’” is a left of field home run that promises to have the dark rooms and festival crowds alike chanting. Fans are sure to be jonesing for an album right now, but if this is how the singles are to sit then we’ll take whatever Niki & The Dove throw our way.
