Cinemas across the globe saw multitudes of ardent 50 Shades fans lineup on Thursday evening in anticipation 50 Shades Darker’s very first showing. Like its first star-studded soundtrack, which included originals by the likes of Ellie Goulding and The Weeknd, the second film installment also delivers in the music arena. In addition to a well-rounded palette of pop artists which includes Sia, Tove Lo, and more, Kygo represents the EDM world with a smooth offering appropriately titled, “Cruise.”

The tropical house don takes fans on an even-keeled stroll through his signature, Caribbean-inspired synth melodies whose lighthearted nature paired with mild mid-tempo kicks catalyze immediate relaxation whilst Andrew Jackson’s vocals make the track perfect for radio airwaves. “Cruise’s” mellow atmosphere is much needed during the film, which takes on a considerably more tense plotline than the original.
