Dutch producer Afrojack recently released his latest trap working, “Diamonds,” on his Wall Recordings label in collaboration with Australian producer Jay Karama. While the track sits nicely in Jay’s catalogue of ferocious trap cuts, this new piece provides further insight into Afrojack’s stylistic prowess that introduces a more aggressive, hard-hitting sound, leaving no space for minimalism.

The track steadily builds with an assertive edge before catapulting into unapologetic fury. Warped vocals echo atop thumping bass kicks as the duo unleash a riotous concoction of unwavering percussion and laser synth jabs that are sure to throw dance floors into complete mayhem. It is yet to be seen if this new release is Afrojack’s permanent departure from the dutch house sound that initially popularized him. Either way, the no-frills production behind the track is surefire reminder that the producer doesn’t feel the need to confine himself to one genre.
