Day 1 of the longest running multi-day, multi-stage EDM event in Texas will kick off with headlining sets from two Lights All Night alumni, including Bassnectar, who just today released part two of his highly-anticipated Reflective EP, and Porter Robinson, who is rumored to be working on a follow-up to his highly-acclaimed debut album, Worlds, which will likely drop before the end of the year. Also performing will be DJ/producer Illenium, who just released his second studio album, Awake, this September. Some of the most exciting up-and-coming EDM acts around today will help to round out the sounds on Saturday, including Liquid Stranger, Drezo, and Wongo, whose LAN set will be his first ever performance in the United States; as well as a live set from Ookay, which was just introduced for the very first time at Nocturnal Wonderland this September. Additionally, Saturday will feature a pair of special hip-hop performances from nationally acclaimed rappers Ugly God and Smokepurpp, who continue to make headlines as leaders in the new “Soundcloud rap” movement.
One of the most sought-after acts on the globe, Marshmello, whose identity is still unknown even as he continues to produce countless chart-topping hits, including two of his most recent singles, both of which feature Texas-based artists — “Silence,” featuring El Paso’s own Khalid, and “Wolves,” which just dropped last week, featuring pop-megastar and DFW-native Selena Gomez — is set to take the stage on Sunday night to close out the festival. Additional headliners include NGHTMRE, one of the foremost leaders in today’s trap scene who continues to prep for the release of his forthcoming yet-to-be-named EP; and Seven Lions, who continues to perform in support of his Creation EP, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart last year. Additional Day 2 performers include EDM heavyweights AC Slater, Destructo, Morgan Page, TOKiMONSTA, and Houston’s own beloved up-and-coming rapper Maxo Kream, among many others.
