WAX MOTIF ENLISTS JUOS & 24HRS FOR DARK CLUB ANTHEM ‘RUN IT UP’

Wax Motif, Juos & 24hrs – ‘Run It Up’

Ot now via Divided Souls Records

Australian-born, Los Angeles-based producer Wax Motif returns to his Divided Souls imprint with ‘Run It Up’, a dark & heavy-hitting collaboration alongside Juos – a rising producer whose forward-thinking approach has been shaping the next wave of house music. The two cutting-edge producers also enlisted 24hrs – the Atlanta-based singer, rapper, and songwriter who is celebrated for his genre-blending work across hip-hop and R&B – to polish the song off. Fusing Wax’s signature bass-house edge with Juos’s polished production sensibilities and 24hrs’ seamless vocal delivery, ‘Run It Up’ lands as an addictive late-night ID tailor-made for both festival sets and dark warehouses alike.

Defined by a dynamic bassline and non-stop, raw energy from start to finish– ‘Run It Up’ blends punchy stabs with an infectious hook from 24hrs, creating a record that effortlessly bridges the swagger of hip-hop with the unmistakable grit of bass-house. Alongside Juos, the single resolidifies Wax’s ability to blur genre lines and serve as a talented collaborator, label boss, and hitmaker – with a mission to uplift other artists through his iconic Divided Souls imprint.

Behind the Collaboration

Speaking on the collaboration, Wax Motif shares, “I’ve known Juos for a long time, as his first record was signed to my label Divided Souls 3–4 years ago. He was sending me a bunch of ideas to work on, and I saw some potential in the initial idea for ‘Run It Up’. After I worked on it, I sent it over to 24hrs (who I’d been talking about doing a record with), and had him jump on it to add his vocals–  and it turned into ‘Run It Up’. It’s really cool to finally have something out with two people who I’ve been working with in the background for so long.”

The release arrives fresh off Wax Motif’s recent single ‘Gimme That Money’, which marked his return to his staple bass-house sound that first defined his rise. The success of his earlier singles, such as ‘Push Up’ ft. Scruffizer with Kyle Watson, ‘In My Hands’ with Camden Cox, and ‘Better Recognize’ with GRAMMY-nominated Zhu, earned the hitmaker millions of streams and support from the likes of Dom Dolla, John Summit, Solomun, Meduza, Chris Lake, and more. His skills in the studio have also landed him production credits for G-Eazy, Gashi, Tinashe, and more.

With the release of ‘Run It Up’ on October 24th, there is no question that Wax Motif has undeniable momentum and the ability to deliver crossover hits– without compromising his underground roots. With Juos’ new-age take on dance music, and 24hrs’ unparalleled vocals, Wax’s latest offering delivers a dark club anthem for the masses– and resolidifies him as one of the most dynamic forces in dance music today.
