Following a string of successful releases on D4 D4NCE, including “So Hype” with the GRAMMY award-winning Mýa, “Weekend Vibes” with MIKE DEAN and Lee Wilson, and “Speed It Up” with Lauren Hashian, Junior Sanchez now presents the full LP fronted by the fourth and final single “I Need More” featuring American gospel singer Darlene McCoy on vocals. The LP also features collaborations with the likes of Stacey Barthe, Dawn Richard, Rex Evans, Johnny Apollo & Cookie Kawaii, with each track on ‘Songprints Vol. 1’ showcasing not only his ability to collaborate with and amplify some of the world’s most respected vocalists but also his vast production skills and wide range of electronic genre gained from many years of industry expertise.
“’Songprints Vol 1′ is a project I wanted to do, and that has been inside my soul for a long time,” Sanchez says. “Executive produced by the legendary Dallas Austin, this album is a testament to creativity born from resilience. Crafted during the pandemic between Atlanta and New York, this album features a stellar lineup of artists & friends including Mýa, whose sultry vocals bring a smooth R&B touch, Mike Dean, whose production and synth wizardry adds an expansive sonic depth; Lauren Hashian’s powerful songwriting and melodies that bring us back to a lost era of dance music, Stacy Barthe’s poignant songwriting, Dawn Richard’s genre-defying flair, New Jersey’s own Cookiee Kawaii’s infectious energy, and Darlene McCoy’s soulful richness; with new artists like Rex Evans, Johnny Apollo, and Lee Wilson rounding up the project, this album isn’t just a collection of songs—it’s a masterclass in songwriting and house music production. Trying to seamlessly blend the essence of each artist with my signature house beats, creating a dynamic and unforgettable musical experience.”
Sanchez’s impeccable production style, influenced by the underground house scene of NYC he grew up surrounded by, has fueled collaborations and remixes for the very best musicians globally. From being a founding member of Da Mongoloids collective with
the likes of Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, A-Trak, Basement Jaxx, and Armand Van Helden, to name a few, to creating “The S-Men” with DJ Sneak and Roger Sanchez, and more recently, launching his “Freqazoids” project with UK producer Dance System – Junior Sanchez has been influential at the forefront of the global house music scene for more than two decades. Add in his writing credits with Azealia Banks, Katy Perry, Good Charlotte, and Green Velvet, remixing for Daft Punk, Madonna, Shakira, and Ariana Grande, and it’s clear to see that Junior Sanchez’s range is limitless.
