In a brilliant flash of energy, Otira brings us back to the days of unrestrained raves on “Hardcore Sound.” Rolling breaks, anthemic synths and happy hardcore elements take charge as Otira steamrolls over the status-quo and clears the way for his brave new snythnesization of dance music. “Hardcore Sound” will be title track off Otira’s forthcoming sophomore EP of the same time, due this spring on Dim Mak.

Otira’s latest release comes hot off the heels of Soundboy Burnin’, his stunning 2019 debut EP, which earned him spots in DJ Mag’s 12 Emerging Artists You Need To Hear This January round-up and Billboard Dance’s Emerging Artists: November. Billboard Dance went on to describe the EP as “a head-knockin’ love letter to early rave sounds, with elements of hardcore, jungle, gabber and breakbeat coming together in a frenetic surge of power destined to set fires in the club.” Soundboy Burnin’ concluded a phenomenal year for Otira, during which he dropped an official remix of The Bloody Beetroots’ seminal track “Warp 1.9 (Featuring Steve Aoki)” and “KOKOE,” his collaboration with Dog Blood (Skrillex and Boys Noize).

“Hardcore Sound” sees Otira continue to spread the gospel of rave around the world, setting off 2020 with a vigorous track worthy of old-school acclaim.
