Prime Social Group announces the highly anticipicated phase one lineup for the first Breakaway Music Festival in Nashville, TN. The two-day festival is set to take place October 5-6 at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

Breakaway Nashville carefully explores the intersection of hip-hop and electronic music resulting in a supremely curated lineup that includes some of the most impressive names in the industry with festival headliner Wiz Khalifa, Illenium, Lil Pump, Russ, 3LAU, Gryffin, Lil Skies, NGHTMRE, Quinn XCII, Justin Caruso, Mike Floss, Shaun Frank, and more to be announced.

“Nashville has been waiting for an event just like Breakaway. This place is called the ‘Music City’ for a reason. It’s not just old country; Nashville is a melting pot of young people and music that needs a millennial driven music festival which is exactly what Breakaway Nashville is,” PSG Nashville Market Manager, Blake Miller said.

Rounding out the hip-hop portion of the bill is multi award-winning artist Wiz Khalifa, best known for his grammy nominated “Black and Yellow” track and his many collaborations with artists like Snoop Dogg and Bruno Mars (“Young, Wild & Free”), Maroon 5 (“Payphone”), The Weeknd (“Remember You”), and Charlie Puth (“See You Again”). Coming off his heels, Wiz was awarded BET’s Best New Artist Award in 2011 and Billboard’s 2012 Top New Artist, and has kept his spot on the top of the charts ever since.

Also bringing world-class talent to Nashville is EDM producer Illenium, known for his ability to engage listeners with immersive emotional experiences with tracks like “Feel Good” and “Crawl Outta Love”. Breakaway Nashville will feature a live performance from Illenium, incorporating keyboards, drum pads, and world-class lighting and visuals, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for the crowd.

Also helping to round out the hip-hop portion of the phase one lineup is Miami’s 17-year-old Lil Pump. Starting to make music and releasing tracks in just 2016, he became a star almost overnight. He’s best known for his certified platinum track “Gucci Gang” which peaked at number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and debuted his first studio album Lil Pump just last year. Also set to perform is Russ, coming off his 2017 Columbia Records signing and release of his first major-label debut, There’s Really a Wolf, which went platinum. As of 2018, he’s accumulated over 1.5 billion streams and hit double platinum and gold with multiple singles including “Losin Control” and “What They Want”.

Coming in 2018, Breakaway Music Festival will not only expand to Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall Oct. 5-6, but will also return to Columbus’ Mapfre Stadium Aug. 24-26, Grand Rapids’ Belknap Park Aug. 24-25, Charlotte’s AvidXchange Music Factory Oct. 12-13 and took place in Dallas’ Toyota Music Factory in April.

“We started this festival by combining urban living with a carefully curated, multi-genre lineup that festival goers of all ages and music preferences could enjoy. After just four years, Breakaway Columbus has grown into a large-scale festival home to over 25,000 attendees, which has inspired us to spread the festival brand to other markets. Every city could use their own festival to call home— we’re really excited for what the future looks like,” Managing Partner, Adam Lynn explained.
