Let’s face it — Diplo is a busy guy.

Between overseeing his forthcoming satirical show What Would Diplo Do?, making a cameo in Charlie XCX’s recent star-studded “Boys,” video, and a serving up a savory slew of monstrous releases under his side project Major Lazer, it’s no wonder the artist’s had little time to release music of his own as of late.

On August 2, he’s surprising us once again just one day ahead of the premiere of What Would Diplo Do?, with a new track streamed over the airwaves of Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1. The new track “Imperfections,” is a refreshing transition and smooth turn-away from his heavier trap norm. Diplo’s for sure working out of the box on “Imperfections” — perhaps recognizing his own imperfections throughout. Regardless, it’s something we’re likely to see a lot of on the upcoming show. Take a listen to the new track for yourself below.
