Showcasing another dimension to an already diversified and assorted musical style, HEREN unveils a fresh perspective to his absorbing sound with his debut ‘We Are One’ EP under his new moniker – ANJ. Out now and melding together an assortment of dancefloor driven cuts and rolling house grooves, ‘We Are One’ marks another highlight to an already impressive 2017 release pedigree.
Firing off from the release of ‘One Life’ under his HEREN alias which achieved worldwide exposure with the first unveiling on Desigual’s ‘Exotic Jeans’ campaign, he signifies once more his ability to create fresh, forward thinking material with this exciting new alias. With ANJ being an Egyptian hieroglyphic meaning ‘life’ – the alias portrays his music in a new light, transmitting his belief that music is life and a lifestyle for him as an artist.
The EP kicks off by the electronic fused melodies and progressive tones of opening track ‘We Are One’ that’s sets the scene to showcase ANJ’s fresh musical outlook. Taking things up a gear, ‘Trrss’ catapults the EP into a vocal-tinged, driving peak time cut finely engineered for dancefloor domination. ‘Traffic’ comes in third with a squelchy bass house beat that packs some serious punch and concludes this triple packed EP, which so far hs been picking up strong support. To date named spinners in Hardwell, Lost Frequencies, Don Diablo, Abel Ramos, Oliver Heldens, Laidback Luke, Blasterjaxx and more have thrown their support behind the release.
