Legendary British electronic music producer Aphex Twin recently brought his collaboration with Korg to a close with the release of his newest song “Korg Funk 5.” Back in January, the Japanese electronic music instrument manufacturer Korg released their Monologue synthesizer to the masses. Korg joined forces with Richard D James, better known as Aphex Twin, to engineer features and presets for their new monolithic synthesizer.
In an extensive interview with Korg advisor Tatsuya Takahashi conducted for Warp Records, Aphex Twin discusses the Monologue, microtuning, geometry, and dreams. Aphex Twin also shares his newest song “Korg Funk 5” which exclusively uses Korg synthesizers and vocals from his son. Listen to “Korg Funk 5” by Aphex Twin below.
