Last Friday, pop songstress Halsey released her sophomore album, hopeless fountain kingdom. The final track “Hopeless” is a glitchy love ballad produced by frequent pop crossover artist Cashmere Cat. The Norwegian producer adds crashing synths and his signature harmonious distortions to Halsey’s voice on the single.

“Hopeless” isn’t the first collaboration between Halsey and Cashmere Cat, who earlier linked up on the singer’s single “Now Or Never” back in April; nor is the producer a stranger to the pop diva realm, boasting collaborations with Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Camila Cabello in the repertoire of his debut album, 9.
