Yogi has been a veritable – albeit, enigmatic – force at the intersection of hip-hop and electronic music for quite some time now. He’s got one foot in the door with Dr. Dre‘s iconic Aftermath imprint, and the other planted firmly in Skrillex‘s OWSLA roster, holding down the ultimate co-sign between two of modern music’s most influential A&Rs.

The London-based beat-smith’s latest comes by way of another high-profile collaboration, this time roping in a contribution from Three Six Mafia legend Juicy J on “Money on my Mind.” Through and through trap music from core to perimeter, Yogi’s latest adds production power from Alexander Lewis, laying down the perfect groundwork for Juicy’s signature verse-work.

The collaboration’s sinister tip-toe beat carries characteristic Juicy J bars, packing in lines about getting high, getting paid, women, lots of general nefariousness. However, the former mafioso’s formulaic rhymes aside, Yogi and Alexander Lewis proctor a crisp hip-hop beat that easily steals the show.
