Renowned Japanese animation Studio Ghibli has produced some of the most iconic anime films in history. To match their film’s stunning visuals, the studio has also long been known to create melodious scores that have become legendary in their own right. These scores now serve as the starting point for a recent mixtape by Australian producer Ghosting.
The man behind the project, named ‘Reimagining Miyazaki,’ Andrei Eremin, is no stranger to electronic music, having worked with Chet Faker and Grammy nominee Hiatus Kayote in the past. ‘One Summer「 Spirited Away 」’ kicks off the 11-track mixtape, which will feature re-imagined music from films such as Princess Mononoke and Porco Rosso among others.
The full feature is out on May 12 on Wondercore Island.
