Mt. Eden‘s benchmark hit, “Sierra Leone,” was already huge by the time of its official release in 2013. The haunting track, which sampled Freshlyground’s “I’d Like,” has since become a classic, resonating with dubstep fans around the world.

On April 17, Los Angeles producers TWO OWLS released their remix of the track. The duo breathed new life into “Sierra Leone,” focusing more on the vocals and stepping back a bit from the original growling dubstep notes.

Upon releasing the remix, TWO OWLS noted that “Sierra Leone” was “one of the songs that made them both love dance music.” The producers said they were “blown away to have the opportunity to remix the track for Ultra Records and feel as if they delivered above and beyond expectation.”
