The past eighteen months have seen Jeremy Olander reach unfathomable career heights in a short amount of time, speaking to his skill as an artist in captivating listeners and keeping their attention fixated on his every move as he releases consistently high-caliber work. Both new and old followers of the Swedish prodigy have responded with nothing but praise for his new musical vision, showcased through a series of releases on his blossoming Vivrant imprint in addition to his chart-topping Talespin EP on Suara.
Olander’s recent booming success is only the beginning of what’s shaping up to be a legendary career, however. In addition to an upcoming collaborative project with Knee Deep In Sound veteran Cristoph and an extensive Phase 2 tour which includes a residency at the prolific Sound club in LA, Olander has now provided fans with his first release of the year through Vivrant titled Damon.
“Billinghurst” is the second and final track of the extended player, closing things down on a sentimental note with a downward melodic progression that soars through hypnotic percussion and warm plucks. The finished product’s tone exudes bittersweet energy, taking the listener on a trek through expertly-balanced melacholia and joy while providing a driving canvas that makes it ideal for an intimate dance-floor.
