For years, Doorly has stood as one of the dance music’s most keenly eclectic figures. The Reptile Dysfunction label-head has provided two Essential Mixes and amassed a tasteful following across a variety of genres. For his imprint’s newest release, Doorly has teamed up with prodigiously experimental producer El Prevost. On April 28, the two producers will release their first of two B2B EPs, succinctly titled EP1.

Among the five-track offering is a remix of the pair’s “Temper Mental” by Hot Creations label-head Lee Foss. Fresh off the release of his Alchemy LP, the producer provides a cerebral output which runs the gamut in terms of stylistic variation. Foss begins his revision of the track on a hectic note, blending elements of techno with acid house. As the track progresses, however, it becomes increasingly sedate, eventually culminating with a lush, flourishing deep house conclusion.
