The Launchpad is a biweekly series showcasing hot new music hand selected by our staff. The tracks in these curated playlists come from both underground and mainstream artists that we love. If you’d like to see your music featured in the Launchpad, you can submit it for consideration here.

Our latest iteration of Launchpad showcases some of the hottest trap and bass sounds being played right now. Today’s playlist features some of favorite rising producers all sharing a similar vision of what makes an exceptionally heavy, or melodic bass track.

Highlights:
Released via Bassrush last month, Pierce’s latest original, “Hijack,” is a heavy hitting dubstep track filled with high-anticipation builds, unrelenting bass-heavy drops, and a plethora of well mixed elements. This track stands tall with it’s thoughtful vocal samples arranged for the perfect amount of tension on the build.

Rising LA-based duo, Elizabritz, offer a charming take on future bass and R& that is equal parts melodic and bass heavy. Featuring the soft, impassioned vocals of Rachael Eff, electrifying bass-lines, and varying kick patterns, this track is perfect for that feel-good, weekend pump up.

Debuting on Dim Mak, London-based duo, Stööki Sound, have delivered an impressive soul-rich bass ballad collaborating with the likes of Latroit and Lliam Taylor. “Echoes,” featuring the ethereal vocals of Latroit, is a beautiful track comprised of dreamy synth melodies, huge atmosphere samples, and reverb-laden claps and percussion.

Rising bass artist, BLSZRD, has delivered an impressive dark and unrelenting remix of Jauz & Sullivan King’s “Pure Evil.” Comprised of ominous bass-lines, punctuated snare hits, and soft piano notes, this remix is a perfect way to get in that high-energy weekend mood.
