Dutch duo Yellow Claw teams up with Quavo, Tinie Tempah and Cesqeaux for their latest “Stacks,” released on Mad Decent. Dedicated fans who listened to their #YC11 mixtape have heard this track previewed before as part of that mix. “Stacks” is a new single from their upcoming LP Los Amsterdam, set to be released on March 31. Beginning with erratic breaks, rising with hard hip-hop vocals, then dropping into genre-defying, hard-hitting kick drums, this track has the energy and potential to light up trap stages at upcoming festivals.
Despite MC Bizzey’s departure from the group last year, YC has lined up some talent for this track. Cesqeaux, also hailing from the Netherlands, has teamed up with Yellow Claw many times before. As a member of Migos, Quavo has contributed to some of the biggest releases in hip hop today, including but not limited to “Bad and Boujee” — which recently received the remix treatment from Zhu — and “T-Shirt.” Tinie Tempah released Junk Food just under two years ago, and has released three new singles in 2017 already. The track is exactly what should be expected of Yellow Claw: a fun, boisterous romp perfect for big speakers.
