Max Cooper has a vested interest in the intersection of scientific inquiry and forward-thinking electronic music. On his latest album Emergence, for instance, Cooper sought to capture the idea of complex forms of life arising from simple physical laws, told through the dreamy guise of an organic IDM record.
Emergence has now received its official remix package, courtesy of some of the most innovative minds in electronic music like Rival Consoles, Christian Löffler, John Tejada and more. Dancing Astronaut has the privilege of premiering Patrice Bäumel’s rendition of “Organa,” which continues the Dutchman’s seemingly infallible streak of big remixes.
Baumel’s masterful touch elevates “Organa” to a triumphant dancefloor record, highlighted by its ascending arpeggio and prodigious bassline. Listen to the full remix below:
