In late November last year, house music veteran Jesse Rose announced his impending retirement from the music industry following an impressive two-decade long career.

Rose isn’t going out quietly, however, and in fact today has released his last-ever album, Alright Mate. Dancing Astronaut has the honor of premiering one of the record’s most cherished cuts, “Street Feet.”

A collaboration with London house music heavyweight Weiss, “Street Feet” is a chunky dancefloor number bolstered by slick vocal samples and a tightly-knit drum kit. It’s a cohesive merging of the two producers’ respective styles, and an apt followup to their previous collaborative effort for Play It Down in 2016, “Ask For More / Oh, Like This, Ok.”

Rose said of the track: “I guess for people that have followed me for a while this one is deffo influenced by what was going on around 2005, tracks like ‘You’re All Over My Head’ and ‘A-Sided’, just a straight up off-kilter club track. I’ve collaborated with Weiss before on Play It Down and I felt like this would be the perfect track for us to collaborate on again. I think Weiss has taken the sound of Switch, Solid Groove, maybe a little of mine and made it his own. Deffo one of my fav producers out there right now.”
