Zedd has found a new match in powerhouse pop sensation Alessia Cara with “Stay.” Together, they’ve created an instant chart-topper that inserts synths embedded with funk elements and retro-inspired vocal editing subtly into a bed of future based oozing with Flume-esque hits of percussion. Cara’s warm, robust voice is the record’s core, adding to its flair with catchy lyrics and melodies. Just like its title, “Stay” is likely to linger on in the the mass population’s psyche as it gets pumped through speakers everywhere.

“Stay” is Zedd’s first single of the year. In addition to studio time, the star used his platform to voice his political views and do public good in hosting a public benefit concert for the ACLU. Skrillex, Halsey, and more will be contributing their talents to the event, which takes place on April 1 at LA’s Staples Center.
