Given the Isabelle Rezazadeh’s staggeringly prolific output, it’s difficult to imagine that she has any free time leftover from her surely demanding studio and tour schedule. However, REZZ clearly makes time to play video games every so often. Today, February 27, the producer shared her newest track, “Silent Hill,” alongside a proclamation to her social media following that she had just finished the game of the same name.

It’s easy to see how “Silent Hill” was inspired by the macabre video game. Eerie saw synth melodies and virulent bass patterns form a harrowing end result atop her signature, Gesaffelstein-inspired industrial mid-tempo rhythms. Despite the fact that REZZ’s newest output seems to be an informal release, the impact of her classic sound is unfettered throughout its composition.
